Tenneco is seeking a driven, self-motivated Engineering focused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience working at our fast paced Motorparts engineering facility located in Plymouth, MI during the Spring 2021 Co-Op term.

As an intern working at Tenneco, you will be an active member on your team. Possible responsibilities include:

  • Prepare test requests, evaluate test results, and publish final test reports
  • Assist in root cause analysis of EQT (End of Test) or field returned parts
  • Lead project to benchmark competitive landscape
  • Assist in implementation of new designs
  • Provide support for engineering projects as needed

Required Skills

Required of an Intern:
Must be able to work independently and in a team based environment
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Effective time management skills
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Required Experience

Minimum Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the co-op period
Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
