Tenneco is seeking a driven, self-motivated Data Analytics and/or Computer Science focused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience working at our fast paced corporate facility located in Southfield, MI supporting our Marketing team.

 

The Tenneco student program provides a unique opportunity for students to learn, work, and contribute in an industry leading environment. As an intern working at Tenneco, you will be an active member on your team. In addition to being assigned real projects that deliver results, students also participate in networking events, personal development training, and community service opportunities, among other activities that show you what Life at Tenneco is all about!

 

Possible responsibilities include:

  • Analyze data to better build customer relationships
  • Use data to profile customers and develop market outreach
  • Clean & duplicate data
  • Identify areas for improvement within data analytics process
  • Other related projects to support team as assigned

 

 


Required Skills

Required of an Intern:

Must be able to work independently and in a team based environment
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Effective time management skills
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

 

 


Required Experience

Minimum Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the summer internship period
Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

 

Preferred Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's in Data Analytics, Data Architecture, Marketing, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Engineering or Computer Engineering, from an accredited institution
Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
