GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Act as a liaison with all regional offices and product specialists to coordinate and expedite product for shipment from all Dole Fresh Vegetables facilities.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

• Communicate with internal and external customers via phone and email
• Document and report issues
• Schedule customer pickup appointments
• Review orders for product availability and appropriate age
• Answer heavy inbound calls
• Problem solve and make sound decisions 
• Assist or cover dispatch related duties, including but not limited to checking in/checking out drivers, running orders, launching recorders, communicate with foreman and supervisors on order issues
• Other duties as assigned

 

 

 


Required Skills

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

• 2-3 years minimum experience in distribution, transportation or customer service. Experience in produce industry is strongly preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle unexpected situations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey messages clearly and professionally
• Strong ability to multitask, manage time and meet deadlines while working independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong ability to work as part of a team or with an overall knowledge of supply chain workflow 
• Solid documentation skills with the ability to accurately document order adjustments and communicate adjustments on a daily basis
• Ability to understand and apply information received from a variety of resources
• Accurate typing skills with a minimum of 45 words per minute. 
• Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance
• Ability to accept and follow supervisor directions

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear.  
• The employee must occasionally lift (including overhead) and/or up to 15 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. May involve repetitive motions
• Must have the ability to, on occasion, work in a wet, loud environment and wear required PPE.
 

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work overtime, rotating shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned. 

 

 

 


Required Experience

 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AA preferred

 

PAY RATE:

  • $22.66 - $23.23 Hourly
