GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:
[This is an entry-level sales position with the focus on developing a deeper understanding of Dole’s products, sales strategies, processes, and operations.]
Interacts with existing customers to manage the sales process of Dole products and/or services. Works with customers to find what they want, create solutions, and ensure a smooth sales process.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

Maintain and service existing customers, through understanding the types of customers Dole services and how the clientele fits into Dole’s sales strategies, e.g., wholesalers, regional retailers, national retailers, and foodservice accounts.

Partner with customers to ensure timely payments and maximize customer satisfaction by developing a thorough understanding of Dole’s operating systems including D365, Salesforce, Power BI, and essential third-party systems.

Ensure Dole products are priced accordingly based on a thorough understanding of the various order types, delivery terms, and pricing components: S2, S3, FOB, OTT, delivered, up charges, fuel surcharge, and ECA.

Participate in the customer credit process via entering Requests for Credit (RFC)/Requests for Debit (RFD)/Credit-Rebills, and collecting overdue accounts.

Gain a comprehensive knowledge of the sales division goals through developing an understanding of the Dole sales budget and reporting processes.

Maximize customer satisfaction through interacting with various sales support employees to learn the internal department dynamics that aid in being effective member on the sales team.

Required Experience
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, communications, Business Administration or related field
