Pay Rate:  $22.86

This Position is considered “safety sensitive” which requires the passing of an independently administered drug screen.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

•       Install, maintain, and troubleshoot food processing equipment, motors, starters, etc. Support the production process by reducing equipment down through accurate and effective trouble shooting. Must be able to work under pressure and make repairs in a timely manner.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

•       Maintain and Operate Hayssen packaging equipment or relative experience. Troubleshooting and repairs of Ishida & Yamato scales

•       Must have proven electrical skills including PLC’s, control circuit, read and interpret electrical schematics

•       Knowledge of conveyor systems, hydraulic, pneumatics, and the ability to successfully maintain equipment.

•       Excellent troubleshooting skills

•       Perform preventative maintenance on process equipment

•       Must be able to work flexible hours.

•       Minimum of 2-5 years of qualified maintenance experience

•       Employees must adhere to all policies, practices, and SOP’s related to producing Safe Quality Food (SQF)

•       Ensure the integrity and continued operation of the food safety system in the event of organizational or personnel changes within the company or associated facilities

•       Support special projects and other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

Qualified candidates will have previous experience working in a maintenance department in a manufacturing process. 2+ years of relevant maintenance experience. Please provide specific detail of relevant experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to maneuver around an array of equipment, to work in a cold environment, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds. Able to work in a cold environment (35* on Plant floor). (Notification required due to the Americans with Disabilities Act).

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

•   Ability to work overtime including weekends as required.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  HS Diploma or Demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks
