Pay Rate: $25.00

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for loading and unloading products from trucks, containers, or railcars trucks. Complete paperwork accurately in a timely manner.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

Check trailer and reefer temperature prior to loading (34-38 degrees).

• Inspection of trailer for any pre-existing damages.

• Inspection of product (random temperature checks) to ensure there is no damage to the product.

• Verify case count and & product temperature as it is being loaded and/or staged on the dock.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

•English skills required, bilingual preferred.

• Mathematical skills and logical thought process required.

• Prioritize orders by appointments.

• Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance.

• Follow directions, interact well with co-workers,

• Understand and follow posted work rules/ procedures.

• Must be flexible with the ability to work any shift as workload demands.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and 20 lbs overhead as job demands. Will have some exposure to fumes and airborne particles. Time will be spent in a refrigerated (cold) and loud (ear protection required) work environment.

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and 20 lbs overhead as job demands.
Will have some exposure to fumes and airborne particles. Work is performed in a cool and loud environment with an average temperature of 34 degrees F. (ear protection required)
Must be able travel to various work locations (Marina, CA, Huron, CA, and Yuma, AZ) and relocate.

Required Experience

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

High School diploma or GED equivalency preferred.

PAY RATE:

$25.00
