GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Assist FSQA team in fulfilling Food Safety related duties. Duties include reviewing, uploading and organizing Dole documentation for growing, harvesting processing and cooling operations. 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

• Ensure FSQA files are uploaded as appropriate, up-to-date and organized.
• Assist in maintaining invoice tracking system and other required programs.  
• Responsible for inventory and ordering of FSQA supplies
• Ensures all FSQA equipment is in good repair and that equipment vendor calibration is kept up to date
• Ensure all training records (safety, FOOD SAFETY, QA) are up to date and organized. Assist in the coordination of training efforts.
• Assists FSQA specialists with daily/weekly reports 
• Data entry for food safety and quality information
• Work closely with FSQA Managers and Specialists to ensure Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) & Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are in place with growing, harvesting, processing and cooling operations.
• Distribution of plant foreign object findings by directly communicating to internal teams, growers and harvesters.
• Maintaining and monitoring hourly employee trainings and other related documentation.
• Collect and distribute Food Safety documentation, audits and other requested information.
• Assist in the Commodity Sales Program; aiding in approving purchases of product through brokers.
• Follow all food safety requirements and GMP’s as applicable for this position
• Manage pathogen sampling program
• Other duties as assigned

 

 

 


Required Skills

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

• 1-2 years of experience working within food industry, preferably within FSQA
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
• Competency in computer word processing (MS Word) and Spreadsheet (Excel) required. 
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred. 
• Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to identify and distinguish colors
• Ability to work in extreme cold some of the time
• Ability to lift up to 10-25 pounds 

 

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work overtime, weekends, rotating shifts preferred/required.  

 

 

 


Required Experience

 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• High School diploma required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

 

PAY RATE:

  • $25.50 - $26.00 Hourly
