GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Provide administrative support services for sales office executives and sales personnel.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

• General office administrative support to sales personnel, which may include typing, answering phones, record keeping, making travel arrangements, expense report execution, mail handling, copying, filing, roster development, etc.
• Handle all meeting requests large or small, which may include travel arrangements, hotel accommodations, meeting room reservations, etc.
• New employee hire set up for sales department
• Customer field tour scheduling
• Supply, sales premium ordering and equipment upkeep
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested

 

 

 


Required Skills

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

• At least three years administrative experience preferred.  Ideally, three - five years overall experience in a fast-paced environment. Agriculture and/or produce experience helpful.  
• Strong PC and Mainframe, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point and/or similar BI platform systems knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.  
• Ability to stay focused on accuracy and detail in a fast-paced environment. 
• Self-motivated and able to perform in a high-pressure environment.  Must be able to foster an environment of teamwork and Leadership within the Berry Sales Team in this fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to manage long-distance professional relationships, and to accept constructive criticism.  
• Knowledge of GAAP is helpful. Strong computer, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. High attention to details and accuracy.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Needs to be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time
• Must be able to climb a ladder, stand and or crouch
• Needs to be able to lift 25 pounds
 

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work overtime and weekends based on need and approval
• Travel up to 15% of the time

 

 

 


Required Experience

 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred 
• Any certifications that support varying levels of competence in Excel, Word or Power Point

 

PAY RATE:

  • $23.00 - $25.00 Hourly
