Design Group is recruiting for a Design Intern in our Atlanta, GA location. 

INTERNSHIP DETAILS: 

  • Paid internship based in Atlanta, GA. 
    • Hybrid schedule with at least 3 days in the Atlanta office and 5 days during Photography rotation. 
  • Duration: 12-week program
  • Start date: Monday, 6/3/24
  • 3 or 4 rotations depending on areas of interest
    • Rotations to include: TAP Surface Design & Mockup, Décor Product Design & Trend Development, Creative Play Product & Packaging Design, Photography & Social Media/Collateral Design
  • Additional exposure: Exposure to our Sales & Insights and Product Development Teams and processes.

WHAT WILL I DO IN THIS ROLE?

  • Work alongside the creative teams to design innovative, trend-forward artwork and product designs
  • Create new artwork and reformat existing art to create new assets.
  • Learn how to print and mock-up artwork files
  • Create Packaging Files and/or Dielines for new ideas
  • Assist in creating customer presentations
  • Research new Trends & Product Ideas and create mood boards to support your ideas
  • Assist in the Photography Department with product styling, photo retouching, social media collateral and more!

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?

  • Enrolled in a four-year program in graphic design or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skilled in illustration and graphic design with a broad and versatile portfolio showing design hand and use of color, layout and text. 
  • Must be proficient on the Mac – Illustrator and Photoshop. In-Design and 3-D software knowledge preferred, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Strong communication and organization skills with close attention to detail and ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0.
