Position Purpose

Responsible for Level 3 support of Authority mission critical systems Microsoft, Microsoft Office applications, etc. as assigned). This includes support of Authority software and applications.

 

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintain and support Microsoft software including Exchange, Office 365, SharePoint, and other Authority applications.
  2. Create system images for various operating systems.
  3. Conduct audits of user accounts to ensure appropriate access is provided.
  4. Manage Active Directory environment to ensure all groups, policies, storage, etc. all meet Authority standards.
  5. Update and deploy authority applications as needed.
  6. Responsible for the administration of applications used throughout the authority.
  7. Provide expertise to IS management on the procurement of information systems hardware, operating software and related technical services.
  8. Assist Security and Business Continuity Specialist in their role to develop recovery and restart procedures, development and implementation of a disaster recovery plan and developing and implementing security procedures.
  9. Assist in developing and implementing security procedures.
  10. Perform operating system software analysis and related activities to ensure system operation.
  11. Assist in developing specifications for computer systems.
  12. Assist the Database Administrator in their support mission.
  13. Ability to effectively lead and/or participate in, plans, and coordinates the work efforts of a team consisting of technical Information Services, User, Vendor, and/or consulting personnel.
  14. The individual must be available to work rotation shifts as assigned.
  15. Represent Information Services at project meetings and manage project participation.
  16. Assists in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by participating in required training, recognizing, and reporting hazards and suspicious activity, and using all required personal protective equipment.
  17. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Education and/or Experience

Required: 

  •       High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; OR a minimum of six (6) years of experience administering Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365 (including Exchange), Microsoft Server, and SharePoint.
  • Proficiency in relevant personal computer software such as word processing and spreadsheet applications, considerable knowledge of project analysis and the use of automated project management tools.
  • Must have knowledge of computer systems and the relationship between the servers and network environment.
  • Must have the ability to plan and recommend system requirements to maintain the integrity of all systems.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking.

Desired:

  • ·     Knowledge of SAP (ERP)
  •       Microsoft MCSE certification; Server, Exchange, SCCM experience

 

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit (85%). The employee is required to stand and walk (10%) and lift, climb, bend (5%).  The employee must occasionally lift, hold, and carry objects up to 25 + pounds. Have normal day and night-time vision, corrected or uncorrected.  Have normal hearing, corrected or uncorrected.  Must be able to perform all position functions.  Must be able to physically operate all job-related equipment for the position functions.  The employee must maintain a neat and clean appearance.
