The hours for this position will be 10:00 pm to 6:30 am.

Basic Purpose of Position: |
|
The position of Custodial Foreman is responsible for directly supervising the Custodians who clean PATCO facilities including, but not limited to, all station facilities (platforms, lobbies, and entrance areas), lavatory facilities, locker room facilities, lunch facilities and all office areas. |
|

Major Responsibilities and Duties
DESCRIPTION OF TASK |

1. |
Supervises all cleaning functions such as mopping all stations lobbies, platforms and entrance areas, dusting as required in all stations and offices, mopping, stripping and waxing office area floors, trash collection in stations, offices and lunch rooms, window cleaning, vacuuming and shampooing all carpeted areas as required, scrubbing and sanitizing all bathroom facilities and cleanup and disposal of infectious waste and/or hazardous materials. |

Assistant the Manager and Day Custodial Foreman in the identification of materials necessary to perform custodial activities in a timely fashion. |
|
3. |
Performing custodial activities using industrial cleaning machines such as floor scrubbers, floor buffers, industrial vacuums and other similar machines. |
|
4. |
Performs the necessary record keeping to define payroll documentation, cleaning schedules, material requirements, disciplinary actions, and all other necessary documentation for custodial maintenance under his or her direct supervision. Ensures all operating records and logs are in order and current. |
|
5. |
Ensures proper standards of cleanliness and building appearance with regard to custodial, maintenance, and grounds needs of the facilities. |
|
6. |
Determines when equipment needed at site and arranges for equipment deliveries such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and shampooers. |
|
7. |
Reports on safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to appropriate authority; reports and recommends needed maintenance repairs to appropriate authority. Reports on graffiti and arranges for removal |

8. |
Assists in the development and updating of standard operating procedures related to custodial activities |
|
9. |
Plans, implements, oversees and participates in the custodial activities of the site. Coordinates onsite work activities of custodians |
|
10. |
Interfaces with management to discuss and problem-solve facility cleaning issues |
|
11. |
Orders supplies according to established guidelines and procedures; submits maintenance work orders for repair work needed. |
|
12. |
Routinely uses and operates cleaning equipment and tools safely and in accordance with the training instructions provided. Learns and utilizes new tools and technologies as needed by PATCO. |
|
13. |
Routinely follows proper cleaning procedures and uses proper chemicals and cleaners safely, productively, and according to directions given in training. |
|
14. |
Assists in training Custodians on proper cleaning procedures, chemical use, equipment, tools and technology. |
|
15. |
Participates in major cleaning projects as assigned |
