About this Position

Crowley is actively hiring AB’s for our government fleets, including our Tanker Security Program (TSP) tankers: Stena Polaris, Stena Immaculate, Stena Impeccable, and Stena Imperative. The current openings are with SIU, if you are not already a union member – joining the union is a condition of employment. These vessels offer lots of sea time with 120 day even time rotations and a chance to see the world with frequent ports of call including locations in Greece, Spain, Greenland, and the Antarctic. Though you will be far from home you will still be able to stay in touch with friends and loved ones as these vessels are equipped with Starlink satellite internet connection for crew usage.

Desired Experience and Credentials 

Minimum Qualifications:

• USCG MMC

o  STCW International Capacities and Limitations:

§   Able Seafarer – Deck (AB-Deck)

§   Rating Forming Part of a Navigational Watch (RFPNW)

§   Basic Training (BT),

§   Personal Survival Craft (PSC)

§   Vessel Personnel with Designated Security Duties (VPDSD)

o  Domestic Capacities and Limitations:

§  AB-Unlimited or AB-Limited 

§  Lifeboatman

• Valid Passport 
• Valid TWIC
• USCG Medical Certificate (STCW)

Preferred Qualifications

•         Current MSC Government Vessels Training
•      Government issued Secret Security Clearance
•         Tankerman Assistant
•      AB-Unlimited 

Must be Current on medical and training requirements. 

COVID

Candidates who accept an offer of employment for work onboard one of Crowley’s government vessels will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination during the onboarding process. Successful candidates who seek an exemption from vaccination for a medical reason or sincerely held religious belief will be required to provide appropriate documentation in support of such request and be subject to additional health and safety protocols.
