Required Skills

Minimum Qualifications and Credentials 

  • MMC 
    • DDE, Unlimited Motor or Assistant Engineer Limited, Oceans Motor
    • Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW) 750kw/1000HP or higher
    • Basic Safety Training (VI/1)
    • VPDSD ( Vessel Personnel w/ Designated Security Duties) (VI/6)
    • Personal Survival Craft (VI/2)
    • Advanced Firefighting (VII/3)
    • Lifeboatman
  • STCW Medical Certificate – we require the STCW Expiration Date to be valid
  • TWIC badge- Not to expire within three months 
  • Valid Passport – Not to expire within six months 

Required Experience

Preferred Qualifications and Credentials 

  • Two (2) years service as a sea-going Engineer or academy graduate
  • Prior experience with Inert Gas system and Intercon Coupling systems
  • Familiarity with petroleum cargo and ballast operations and regulations
  • ATB design operations knowledge preferred
  • GE, John Deere, Caterpillar, or Wartsilla experience preferred
  • Alaska Resident preferred

  • $771.60/Daily Rate
