Required Skills
Minimum Qualifications and Credentials
- MMC
- DDE, Unlimited Motor or Assistant Engineer Limited, Oceans Motor
- Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW) 750kw/1000HP or higher
- Basic Safety Training (VI/1)
- VPDSD ( Vessel Personnel w/ Designated Security Duties) (VI/6)
- Personal Survival Craft (VI/2)
- Advanced Firefighting (VII/3)
- Lifeboatman
- STCW Medical Certificate – we require the STCW Expiration Date to be valid
- TWIC badge- Not to expire within three months
- Valid Passport – Not to expire within six months
Required Experience
Preferred Qualifications and Credentials
- Two (2) years service as a sea-going Engineer or academy graduate
- Prior experience with Inert Gas system and Intercon Coupling systems
- Familiarity with petroleum cargo and ballast operations and regulations
- ATB design operations knowledge preferred
- GE, John Deere, Caterpillar, or Wartsilla experience preferred
- Alaska Resident preferred
