Core4ce seeks a Datacenter Operations Systems Support Services (DS3) Lead to oversee all aspects of network and security monitoring, ensuring high availability, rapid incident resolution, and compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity requirements. This role requires both technical expertise and strong leadership to guide Tier 1–3 analysts, coordinate across engineering teams, and interface directly with Government stakeholders on critical events.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring continuous monitoring of infrastructure, systems, and security events.
  • Oversee incident detection, triage, escalation, and resolution, ensuring Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence and rapid restoration of services.
  • Manage event correlation, log analysis, and alerting through Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and monitoring platforms, such as Splunk, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), VMware vRealize Operations Manager (vROps), and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
  • Direct response to cybersecurity threats, outages, and performance degradations, ensuring containment and remediation.
  • Develop, refine, and enforce incident response playbooks and escalation procedures.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to NOC/SOC staff, ensuring professional growth and alignment to mission requirements.
  • Collaborate with platform, storage, cyber, and database teams to coordinate cross-functional responses to enterprise issues.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).
  • 10+ years of professional experience in network operations, security operations, or IT infrastructure management, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of network operations, cybersecurity monitoring, and incident response.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring and SIEM tools (Splunk, SCOM, ACAS, vROps).
  • Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity standards, including Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience briefing executive and Government leadership during incidents.
  • Proven leadership ability to manage 24/7 operations and mentor technical staff.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one relevant industry certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) — e.g., GCIA, GCIH, GSOC — or similar certification.
  • Experience supporting DHA or DoD healthcare IT environments.
