We are seeking a highly motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist with experience recruiting for cleared positions within the defense, intelligence, or government contracting sectors. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of security clearance processes, government contract hiring, and sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill technical and non-technical roles. As a member of our recruitment team, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and guiding qualified cleared candidates through the hiring process while partnering with hiring managers and program teams to fulfill current and future talent needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring managers and program leads to understand hiring requirements for cleared roles.
  • Source active and passive candidates through job boards, databases (e.g., ClearanceJobs, ClearedJobs.Net), social media platforms, employee referrals, and networking events.
  • Maintain an active presence on professional social media platforms to promote employer brand and engage with the cleared talent community.
  • Stay current on social media trends, recruitment marketing strategies, and emerging digital platforms to effectively reach niche candidate pools.
  • Screen candidates for qualifications, clearance level, availability, and salary expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulations and internal policies, including OFCCP and EEO requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, manage candidate communication, and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems (e.g., Rival) with accurate and up-to-date candidate information.
  • Build and maintain pipelines of cleared talent for high-priority and future openings.
  • Collaborate with security officers and FSO personnel to validate clearance status and manage clearance requirements throughout the hiring process.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to leadership on recruiting metrics and hiring activity.
  • Represent the company at career fairs, industry networking events, and military transition programs.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 2–5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in the cleared/government contracting space.
  • Familiarity with various clearance levels (Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, CI Poly, Full Scope Poly).
  • Strong sourcing skills using Boolean searches, LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, ClearedJobs, etc.
  • Experience using social media and digital platforms for talent engagement and employer branding.
  • Working knowledge of compliance-related hiring practices (e.g., OFCCP, EEO).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience recruiting for roles in Cybersecurity, Intelligence, IT, or Engineering.
  • Prior experience supporting DoD, IC, DHS, or other federal programs.
  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience in successfully locating and recruiting a wide variety of positions, including hard-to-fill technical roles which require advanced security clearances.
  • Extensive experiencing cold calling and developing relationships with candidates which lead to candidates signing offers or letters of commitment
  • Experience recruiting for roles in Data Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Research and Development, and Administrative and Advisory Services
  • Prior experience supporting DOW, IC, AFRL, NGA, CDAO, OSD, MDA and other federal programs
