Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer with a strong background in AI/ML to join our enterprise-level network security engineering team. This role involves identifying gaps and opportunities within our cybersecurity architecture, evaluating emerging technologies, and implementing AI/ML-driven solutions to enhance our security posture.

Responsibilities:

1.            AI/ML Integration:

                       Develop, engineer, and document AI/ML solutions across a multi-vendor platform to support our enterprise security architecture.

                       Collaborate with data scientists and AI/ML specialists to integrate machine learning models into network security systems.

                       Implement AI-driven network anomaly detection, intrusion prevention, and threat hunting systems.

2.            Cloud Security & AI/ML:

                       Leverage AI/ML to enhance cloud security, addressing limitations of cloud platforms while ensuring compliance with DoD security directives.

                       Utilize native and non-native cloud security tools, such as Azure Security Center, Azure Virtual Network TAP, AWS GuardDuty, and Amazon Inspector, to implement AI/ML-driven security solutions.

3.            AI/ML-driven Network Automation:

                       Develop and implement AI/ML algorithms for network automation, using tools like NetMiko, Napalm, or Pandevice.

                       Utilize AI/ML to optimize network resource allocation, improve infrastructure efficiency, and automate network configuration tasks.

4.            AI/ML Security Research & Development:

                       Stay informed about the latest AI/ML trends and emerging threats in network security.

                       Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) projects and pilot AI/ML-driven security solutions.

                       Contribute to the development of AI/ML security standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

                       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

                       Minimum 7 years of experience in network engineering, telecommunication, or a related field.

                       Proven experience (3+ years) in AI/ML, with a focus on network security or cybersecurity.

Preferred Qualifications

 AI/ML Skills:

                       Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).

                       Experience with AI/ML-driven network security tools and platforms (e.g., Darktrace, CrowdStrike Falcon, Vectra AI).

                       Knowledge of AI/ML security use cases, such as anomaly detection, threat hunting, and predictive analytics.

Network & Security Skills:

                       Strong network engineering background, with expertise in Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, Fidelis, and other relevant technologies.

                       Proven experience in enterprise network design, implementation, and security.

                       Familiarity with cloud networking technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud security best practices.

Certifications:

                       CCNP or equivalent network engineering certification.

                       AI/ML-related certifications (e.g., IBM AI Engineering Professional Certificate, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate) are a plus.

                       Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.

Soft Skills:

                       Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex AI/ML concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

                       Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

                       Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
