Director of Growth & Business Operations
Program Management
We are seeking a highly organized, self-motivated leader with deep expertise in Growth (Capture & Proposals) and Business Unit Operations to support our Advanced Cybersecurity Solutions portfolio. This role requires a strategic thinker and exceptional writer who can drive both business development and operational excellence within a rapidly growing advanced cybersecurity services business unit.
Responsibilities
Growth & Capture Management:
- Support capture efforts for large-scale DoD cybersecurity contracts ($100M+ TCV), shaping opportunities from early positioning through proposal submission.
- Develop and execute winning capture strategies by integrating technical, management, and cost elements.
- Partner with executives and partners to establish and drive growth objectives, pipeline development, and strategic investments in cyber services.
- Work cross-functionally to develop price-to-win (PTW) analyses, competitive positioning, and customer engagement strategies.
- Serve as a proposal strategist, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and compelling proposal submissions.
- Engage with DoD customers and industry partners to enhance teaming strategies and expand market reach.
Business Unit Operations & Program Management:
- Establish and refine business processes, workflows, and reporting frameworks to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead BU ISO/CMMI support efforts
- Support forecasting, staffing plans, and performance metrics to drive execution across a complex cybersecurity portfolio.
- Support the training and mentoring of Program Managers (PMs) in operational best practices, financial oversight, and contract execution.
- Support development of business intelligence dashboards for executive reporting on revenue, backlog, and contract performance.
- Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, 8570/8140 workforce development, and federal acquisition regulations.
- Act as a key liaison between the business unit, corporate leadership, and functional support teams (finance, contracts, HR, etc.) to drive alignment on priorities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Capture/Proposals, Business Development, or Business Operations within a DoD IT services environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 8570/8140 certification (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CISM, or equivalent).
- Proven capture success on $100M+ DoD cybersecurity contracts, with a strong track record in proposal writing, staffing, solutioning, and competitive positioning.
- Deep understanding of DoD contracting, procurement lifecycles, and federal acquisition processes (e.g., FAR, DFARS, IDIQs, OTAs, CPFF, FFP, and GWACs).
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce compelling, executive-level documents and proposal responses.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to make data-driven recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from PMs to senior executives.
- Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
Preferred
- Big 4 management consulting experience (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) in strategy, operations, cybersecurity, or federal contracts.
- Experience managing cybersecurity programs, defensive cyber operations, offensive cyber operations, RMF/A&A, or SOC environments in a federal setting.
- Understanding of DoD contract vehicles.
- Experience developing and tracking OKRs, KPIs, and business intelligence tools for performance monitoring.
