Core4ce LLC is seeking an experienced and energetic business development leader, with a proven track record of leading and closing $100M+ opportunities, to provide leadership and strategic direction to drive the expansion and growth across the Department of the Air Force (including Space Force/Space Command).

 The AF/Space BD Account Director will be the leading force in growing client relationships and business in our AF/Space market. You will develop and lead our account and business strategies designed to expand Core4ce’s presence in key AF/Space organizations. Reporting to the Chief Growth Office, you will be responsible for building, managing, and maintaining a healthy pipeline, leading large/strategic pursuits, solution development, teaming relationships, and responding to customer solicitations for new business. 

This position is remote, however travel is anticipated and will be required as needed, up to 50%, to meet with key customers, partners, industry events, and corporate meetings when required. 

 

Responsibilities

  •        Keeps abreast of overall business trends, particularly the current business climate to include changes in customer budgets, policies and priorities. Coordinate and communicate with the Marketing and Research Analysis Team.
  •        Defines and executes long-term business development and capture strategies within Account.
  •        Develops and manages a multiyear, multi-billion-dollar quality account pipeline.
  •         Works with marketing to develop marketing campaigns to establish and cultivate long-term relationships with key client officials.
  •         Seek opportunities to strengthen client relationships.
  •         Identifies potential clients within Core4ce core capability areas and develops sales strategy.
  •         Understands and responds to potential clients’ needs and objectives by proactively engaging and educating potential/existing customers on Core4ce’s capabilities.
  •         Coordinates and works with Core4ce product development, R&D, and solution architects to stay abreast Core4ce capability, technology, and solutions.
  •         Provides leadership and guidance to proposal team from inception to completion, and interfaces with the program teams and other account directors/executives.
  •         Works in partnership with Capture to mature opportunities to maximize P-win. At times, function as capture manager.
  •         Works in partnership with Profit and Loss Centers.
  •         Willing and capable to function as Book Boss or lead writer as necessary based on skillset and experience.
  •         Ability to communicate and translate business strategy and customer requirements to solution architects and chief scientists in support of technical approach/solution development.
  •         Conduct and/or provide Gate Reviews following Core4ce BD and Capture Processes.
  •         Supports the development of the pricing structure, as well as coordinates with Contracts on other contract terms and conditions.
  •         Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

 

Requirements 

  •         Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business (or equivalent) and typically +15 years of diversified experience, primarily within the business development realm of a large, technology company, is required.
  •         Proven track record of selling and delivering technical services to the United States AF/Space.
  •         Knowledge and understanding of U.S. AF/Space through prior military, civilian, or contractor experience.
  •         Must be eligible to obtain and maintain or currently possess a DoD security clearance.
  •         Established industry and government relationships and understanding of the AF/Space competitive landscape and various acquisition processes to include OTAs.
  •         A thorough understanding of market development, capture process, proposal pricing, contract terminology, negotiations with potential clients is required.
  •         Must possess strong written and oral communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
  •         Effective Negotiation Skills
  •        Ability to represent the Company favorably, to develop new clients and new industry partners.
  •        Domain knowledge in one or more of the following domains as it relates to the US AF/Space is desirable: offensive and defensive cyber, digital modernization, engineering and architecture, and data management.
  •        Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret or ability to obtain
