This role is remote; however, applicants must reside within a commutable distance to Albuquerque, NM for occasional work in the office.
Job Duties:
- Assist providers with questions/educate on the portal application.
- Enter documentation of requests for, utilization review, and other medical management services (collect/enter information into the system that is limited to non-clinical data or is structured clinical data).
- Convey case information and other notifications via inbound and outbound calls.
- Assist providers to upload the documentation of requests for, utilization review, and other medical management services
- Respond to inbound telephone requests.
- Enter case information from original source documentation.
- Make courtesy calls with case reference numbers.
- Provide notification of completed review and NRD, when applicable
- Contribute to orientation and training of other non-clinical employees
- As requested, create templates for complex reviews, perform internal quality reviews, and/or participate in provider outreach activities.
- Create, develop, and mail letters.
Required Skills
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in related field may be substituted
Preferred
Post-secondary education or certification in a related field preferred
Required Experience
- 2 years of related work experience or customer service experience
- 1 year of work experience in healthcare
A background working with adults who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, or experience providing administrative support and customer service as a point of contact
