Comagine Health is searching for a Healthcare Data Analyst to join our analytics team to support a new multi-year evaluation project focused on hospital evaluation and patient choice for the State of Nevada, and to assist with other ongoing programs. Working with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, the Healthcare Data Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, display and interpretation of data to help inform team decisions, further team goals, and ultimately drive the team toward successful completion of projects designed to improve health care in our communities.

 

Comagine Health is a non-profit consulting firm that seeks to improve health and to increase the effectiveness and quality of health care. As a recognized Quality Improvement Organization (QIO), we support providers, plans, purchasers, and consumers, and offer services to state and federal agencies and others to help them better manage health care under the existing system and to assess, plan for and implement broader system transformation. We collaborate with academic, government, and nonprofit partners on initiatives funded by NIH, CDC, AHRQ, BJA, SAMHSA, and others.

What you’ll be doing for us:

  • Assist with the review, analysis, and interpretation of clinical data for quality improvement studies and initiatives, analytic services, research, or care management projects
  • Assist with the design and application of effective data analytic methodologies and programming solutions
  • Design and implement studies of health care processes and outcomes
  • Obtain, validate, and analyze data from both internal and external sources
  • Design, build and maintain data entry tools for primary data collection
  • Collaborate with other team members, committees, consultants, and external customers to develop and implement projects.
  • Act as the liaison to the internal IT department on issues related to analytics and technology, including software needs, as needed
  • Generate technical manuals, reports, and other documentation.
  • Make presentations to and prepare performance reports for physicians, other health care providers and consumers
