Comagine Health is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team. We consult on public health initiatives, develop and deliver healthcare delivery improvement projects, and support clinical care management programs. As we enter our next phase of growth, we are expanding our analytical capabilities with a focus on All Payer Claim Databases. Our next Project Manager will need to be a roadblock remover and an agile communicator, bringing together internal and external partners at differing levels of technical involvement.

Comagine Health is a non-profit consulting firm that seeks to improve health and to increase the effectiveness and quality of health care. We support providers, plans, purchasers, and consumers, and offer services to state and federal agencies and others to help them better manage health care under the existing system and to assess, plan for and implement broader system transformation. We collaborate with academic, government, and nonprofit partners on initiatives funded by NIH, CDC, AHRQ, BJA, SAMHSA, and others.

Job Summary

  • The Project Manager is responsible for the success of their assigned program and coordinating with other team members to ensure the overall success of all programs within the division.
  • The Project Manager collaboratively measures the performance of programs, stakeholder relationships, and strategic planning.
  • This individual is a subject matter expert in the program they manage, an advocate for analytics internally and externally, and can be a translator between analytic staff and internal and external partners.


Typical Job Duties

  • Provide leadership to project teams by creating and providing clarity of project goals, direction, and integrity.
  • Within the framework provided by Comagine Health and the Data Solutions division, and in collaboration with project teams, help define and contribute to the business and interpersonal culture of programs.
  • In collaboration with analytics leadership, define and evaluate success metrics for projects and programs.
  • Ensure clear communication and coordination with other projects, programs, and divisions.
  • Establish, sustain, and grow relationships with key stakeholders including partners, vendors, clients, and others related to the specific projects the Program Manager works with. Facilitate multi-stakeholder conversations about data usage and limitations, and project and program goals.
  • Coordinate with analytics leadership to support project staff through project planning, project management frameworks, prioritization, problem-solving and coordination with other projects and programs as needed.
  • Assist in managing program and project budgets and coordinate with project leads regarding staff hours and assignments as needed.
  • Manage projects as needed including developing and tracking project plans, client communication and management, problem-solving differences between analytical feasibility and client needs, and ensuring final product is high quality and on time.

Required Skills

  • Apply program and project management theory and practice including Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with common technical platforms (e.g., Tableau, SAS, Microsoft Azure, etc.) and processes
  • Working knowledge of large administrative health care datasets, including claims data
  • Working knowledge in using data to effect health care quality improvement and transformation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.. Interest and aptitude in translating data for any audience, visually and in writing.
  • Advocate for analytics, both internally and with community partners.
  • Assist with budget and resource management.
  • Lead others with clarity, inclusiveness, and integrity
  • Practice and model cultural, political, and interpersonal sensitivity
  • Organize, delegate, and coordinate multiple simultaneous tasks in a team environment.
  • Prioritize multiple projects, work under deadlines, and produce work with a minimum of errors.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Performance measurement, including customer feedback, stakeholder impact analysis, cost-benefit analysis, improvement initiative history, project, and program auditing.

Required Experience

  • PMP Certification, of the ability to complete certification within six months of hire required
  • 2+ years of project / program management with demonstrated success
  • 2+ years of industry experience using data to affect health care quality improvement and transformation
  • BA/BS in a related field (Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in related field may be substituted)
  • MA/MS in a related field preferred

At this time, we are only considering candidates in the Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones

Salary Range: $89,000-$122,000

The salary range posted reflects the range that Comagine is willing to pay for this position.  Salary is determined by many factors, including but not limited to geographic location of where the employee will perform their job duties in addition to their knowledge, skills, education, and relevant work experience.
