Join COLSA's fast-paced, mission-driven team supporting the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) under the NTSS contract. As a ServiceNow Developer, you’ll assist in the design, development, troubleshooting, and implementation of software solutions to enhance and automate NSSC business processes. This role offers hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform—configuring applications, developing workflows, and creating custom solutions that support NASA’s enterprise services.
- Designs, develops, tests and implements complicated and difficult software programs *
- Analyzes user’s software program needs and assists in troubleshooting *
- Design and develops software using basic compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems *
- Performs systems modeling, simulation and analysis *
- Advises hardware design engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems
- Recommending best solutions to automate existing and new functionality based on ServiceNow offered applications and modules
- Activation and configuration of ServiceNow applications to meet business needs
- Development of workflows and scripts to personalize existing ServiceNow applications
- Development of complex ServiceNow custom applications from inception to completion in order to automate and improve processes
- Working closely with customers to research, design, develop and deliver innovative solutions to improve their business processes
- Identifies best practices for development of new and existing ServiceNow applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software applications, systems integration, and multiple platforms
- Performs feasibility analysis on potential projects
- Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of ServiceNow capabilities
- Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
- Evaluating interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system
- Mentors, and reviews the work of other software developers on development team
- Documents software to the organizational standard
- May provide input for documentation of new or existing programs

Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform, including workflows and client/server-side scripting
- 4+ years of overall IT experience
- Knowledge of information technology software development methodologies and software development scripting/languages
- U.S. Citizenship required; Must be able to undergo background investigation for position of Public Trust.
- Must reside within commuting distance of Stennis Space Center (Stennis, MS)
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience working with ServiceNow modules such as:
- IT Service Management (ITSM)
- HR Service Delivery (HRSD)
- IT Financial Management (ITFM)
- IT Business Management (ITBM)
- Software Asset Management (SAM)
- Familiarity with .NET, JavaScript, and web development
- Experience with web services and database integration
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
