General Summary
Performs complex RF engineering duties as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines including planning, designing, network modeling & simulation and implementation implementation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
- Cell tower construction and power systems
- Assist with National Training Center and its RF systems.
- Applies knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering to solve basic problems
- Designs a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability
- Participates on multidisciplinary teams
- Support Army 5G testbed assessments of 5G equipment
- · Support engineering, installation, and operational security of a Mobile 5G Network to obtain and maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO)
- ·Assess the Military utility and security of unmanned systems and 5G Networks Supporting AR/VR Training Systems
- Provide user interfaces for Soldier 5G (Government Furnished Equipment) GFE and Legacy Systems
- Design experimentation to demonstrate the effectiveness and security of a 5G Network in test and training environments
- May provide work leadership to lower-level employees
- Travel to NTC at a minimum 25%

Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering
- Minimum of 10-15 years related experience
- Previous experience in 3GPP and military base engineering standards
- Working knowledge of the following engineering tools:
- Propagation tools; Exata, 5G NW Planner, Atoll, Asset 3G, Wizard, Odyssey, CellDesign, Xlos, Planet, NetPlan, DataPro
- Planning tools; ACP-Automated Cell Planning, AFP-Automated Frequency Planning, XConfig, Nokia Optimizer
- Drive Tools; Qualipoc, Solutelia, TEMS, QXDM, QCAT, ActixSpotlight, NEMO, Xtel, Spectrum Analyzer
- Experience with writing SOWS, SPECs, RFP and contract packages replaceing equipment that is end of life
- Willing and able to travel to NTC at least 25%
- U.S. Citizenship required; Active DoD Secret security clearance
