The purpose of this position is to provide customer service through telephone or direct contact for the maintenance needs of Public Housing residents.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists customers by obtaining information or records, responding to inquiries, directing visitors to proper department, and scheduling appointments.
  • Prepares, verifies, and balances a variety of routine logs and reports.
  • Performs administrative duties such as inventory management, equipment maintenance, p-card reporting, filing, typing, and package delivery.
  •  Provides back-up coverage for payroll and rental payments for Public Housing Departmen
  • Documents customer information from the general public regarding complaints, service requests, commendations, surveys, and general inquiries.
  • Inputs incoming work order requests for Public Housing residents into the HAB system.

 

Supplemental Functions:

  • Performs other similar duties as required.

  •  Basic mathematical concepts.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

  • Positions in this class require: fine dexterity, lifting, carrying, sitting, reaching, handling, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, climbing, vision, foot controls, balancing, bending, crouching, hearing, twisting, talking..
  • Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, or negligible amounts constantly AND/OR walking or standing to a significant degree.
  • Incumbents may be subjected to physical hazards.

Required Experience

High school diploma or equivalency, with at least one (1) year of relevant experience; or the City may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
