Reporting to the Fixed Assets and Projects Finance Manager within Group Reporting, you’ll work as part of our Financial Control team, contributing to key reporting and audit processes, maintaining robust internal controls, and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing all aspects of fixed assets accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation, reconciliations, and project lifecycle management in SAP.
- Driving continuous improvement across asset-related processes and ensuring strong governance and internal controls.
- Producing accurate and insightful capital expenditure reports, supporting investment business cases, and performing detailed analysis on budget variances and asset performance.
- Supporting the integrity of financial systems and contributing to the enhancement of internal financial controls and policy documentation.
- Leading depreciation forecasting and asset modelling, and playing a pivotal role in annual asset lives review.
- Supporting audit processes, regulatory compliance, and contributing to external reporting requirements including NZX, IFRS, and Commerce Commission obligations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a technically complex, fast-paced environment and enjoys working across diverse stakeholder groups including CFO, internal audit, investment managers, and external auditors.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a strong mix of accounting acumen, analytical thinking, and systems-savviness.
- At least 3+ years’ experience in an accounting role, ideally in a large and complex business environment.
- CA qualification (or currently working towards).
- Proven experience in financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, and analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP systems – SAP experience is highly regarded.
- A strong understanding of IFRS and fixed asset accounting policies and controls.
- Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing process improvements and system enhancements.
- Ability to lead and support junior team members (including delegating and reviewing work).
If you’re passionate about financial excellence, governance, and process optimisation – and ready to make a measurable impact - we’d love to hear from you. You’ll bring excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, along with a detail-oriented mindset and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, enabling you to confidently navigate complexity and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.
