Product Improvement and Planning Lead

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity
As the Product Improvement & Planning Lead, you’ll play a key role in improving how we plan, prioritise, and deliver infrastructure initiatives. You’ll be at the centre of coordinating our product roadmap, tracking progress, and making sure teams have what they need to stay on track and aligned with business goals.

In this role, you’ll bring together insights from across the business to help simplify our products, improve the customer experience, and make sure we’re focused on the right priorities. You’ll manage planning forums, help shape and publish our portfolio roadmap, and ensure we’re aligning our efforts across delivery, finance, and reporting.

You’ll also play a big part in helping us work smarter, improving how we plan, communicate, and deliver across teams. If you’re someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and bringing structure to complex environments, this is a great opportunity to shape how things get done and have a real impact on the performance of our infrastructure products.

Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your Experience

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring deep experience in planning, change delivery, or product leadership, along with the ability to coordinate across teams and keep complex programmes on track.

You will bring to the role:

  • 15+ years’ experience in planning, change delivery, or product management
  • Strong understanding of planning and governance frameworks like Enterprise Project management office or  Go-To-Market
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn data into action
  • Experience driving delivery programmes, managing timelines, resources, and budgets
  • Great communication skills, you know how to create clear updates, reports, and presentations
  • Experience working in or alongside squad-based delivery models
  • A curious mindset with a drive to improve how things work
  • A flexible, proactive approach, you adapt quickly and stay focused in fast-moving environments
  • Strong influencing and relationship management skills, across internal teams and partners
