Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity
Are you someone who enjoys the technical challenge of delivering real change, with a keen eye for process and a knack for managing complex stakeholder relationships? We’re looking for a Network Migration Specialist to join our Network Operations team and help deliver critical network augmentation projects that keep Aotearoa connected and future ready.
In this role, you’ll take the lead in delivering service and connectivity migrations within our network and provisioning systems, ensuring they’re seamless, efficient, and always focused on what matters most: the customer. You’ll work across teams and organisations to guide our process partners, helping them navigate the regulatory and operational requirements that underpin successful migrations.
You’ll be a key part of the delivery engine, coordinating between the field force, service providers, internal stakeholders, and record-keeping teams to make sure each job is completed to the highest standard, with minimal disruption and maximum value. Your work will directly contribute to technology upgrades, lifecycle transitions, and the evolution of our national network infrastructure.
This isn’t a 9-to-5 role. To minimise impact on customer connectivity, some work may be scheduled outside standard hours, so flexibility is important. In return, you’ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, where innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning are part of the culture.
If you’re ready to be part of something meaningful, where your expertise shapes real outcomes for people and businesses across New Zealand, we’d love to hear from you.
Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your Experience
You’re someone who thrives in technical environments and knows how to bring people together to deliver smooth, successful outcomes. Whether you’re from a field, infrastructure, or network support background, your experience in telco or IT has prepared you to manage complex projects and keep everything (and everyone) moving in the right direction.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- At least 3 years’ experience in the telecommunications or IT industry, especially in roles involving field, network, or infrastructure support
- Experience in technical programme or project delivery within utility networks
- Proven stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to navigate dependencies and influence decision-making
- A strong technical mindset with the ability to quickly learn the Chorus network, its systems, and limitations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, you can clearly explain complex technical ideas to all kinds of audiences
- A collaborative team player who shares knowledge and uplifts others
- A mindset for process improvement and training, with a focus on delivering better ways of working
- Confident problem-solving and broad-thinking ability when issues arise
- A self-starter with strong personal energy, adaptability, and motivation
- A passion for exceptional customer experiences, always aiming for the best outcomes
- The ability to influence and persuade to ensure alignment between customer needs and Chorus goals
If you’re ready to step into a role where you’ll deliver real network change and be part of a high-performing, collaborative team, we’d love to hear from you.
Not sure that you meet all the requirements? If you still think you could be great for the role, we encourage you to apply!
