Are you someone who thrives on driving operational excellence and making strategic decisions that impact critical infrastructure? At Chorus, we’re looking for an experienced Asset Operations Manager to take the lead in aligning asset maintenance and investment strategies across our network. This is your opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our assets operate efficiently, safely, and sustainably, supporting better outcomes for all New Zealanders.

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, partnering closely with investment managers and field delivery teams to bring strategy to life. You’ll oversee maintenance planning and execution, ensuring time, cost, and quality targets are met across the board. Whether it’s streamlining our inspection programs or identifying cost-saving opportunities through smarter resourcing and scheduling, your work will help keep our network running at its best.

You’ll lead initiatives to improve asset longevity, manage budgets, drive quality assurance, and work with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, compliance, and H&S. Collaboration is key, you’ll be the link between investment strategy and operational delivery, using data and performance insights to shape smarter decisions.

Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your Experience 

You’re someone who knows how to make networks run smoothly, from deployment and provisioning through to ongoing maintenance. You’ve spent years honing your expertise in operational delivery and understand how to get the best out of people, processes, and projects.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

At least 10 years’ experience in operational roles or network deployment
A strong track record in contract and project management
In-depth knowledge of telecommunications or utility networks, including provisioning, restoration, maintenance, and builds
A relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent practical experience)
