Te Momo Tūranga | Contract:  Permanent Full Time
Te Wāhi | Where:  Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch
Te Pūtake | Why we’re hiring: We’re stepping into our next chapter, aspiring toward 80% fibre uptake across the motu by 2030. With our new strategy providing the roadmap for what we’re working to achieve and how we’ll get there, opportunities are emerging as we seek to expand our capability and talent in new and different spaces.

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity
As Planning Support Manager, you’ll play a central role in driving meaningful change across our copper optimisation programme. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping our Optimisation Squad on track, facilitating planning, guiding delivery, and ensuring we’re set up to make the right things happen at the right time. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love connecting the dots, and have a knack for keeping teams focused and aligned, this role is made for you.

Working at the heart of our Frontier team, Chorus’ engine for strategic change, you’ll help shape the journey towards a simplified, all-fibre future. You’ll manage the squad’s backlog and planning cycles, facilitate sprints and governance forums, and ensure our roadmap stays aligned to broader copper retirement goals. You’ll also play a key role in enabling the adoption of change across the business, bringing your coordination, communication, and planning skills together to help others successfully transition to new ways of working.

In this role, you’ll collaborate across teams and functions, from finance to delivery to communications. You’ll track progress, surface risks, and keep momentum high, all while championing a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. If you’re ready to make a real impact by supporting complex change from the inside out, we’d love to have you on the team.

Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your Experience
To thrive in this role, you’ll need experience managing change or planning processes in complex environments, ideally in an agile or adaptive business setting. You’re someone who can keep things moving, even without formal authority, and you know how to bring people together to get things done.
  • 5+ years’ experience in change delivery or planning process management
  • Comfortable facilitating squads, planning resourcing, and navigating agile environments
  • Strong working knowledge of EPMO and other planning and delivery frameworks
  • Confident managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders across functions
  • Curious and solutions-focused, you’re not afraid to question how things are done
  • Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable in fast-moving, changing environments
  • Strong communicator and influencer, able to collaborate across diverse teams
Not sure that you meet all the requirements? If you still think you could be great for the role, we encourage you to apply!
