Drive the future of fibre – and the footprint to match.
This is an opportunity for a strategic thinker ready to shape the future of our property portfolio and commercial fibre expansion. As Head of Property & Expansion Strategy, you’ll take ownership of a long-term vision, one that optimises space, reduces cost, and unlocks value across the business. You’ll be driving major choices that impact our ability to scale, streamline, and deliver on our all-fibre future.
This is a big-picture role. You’ll work across the business to define what our property footprint should look like for an all-fibre business, and what steps we need to take to get there. From managing cost-saving initiatives to identifying property optimisation and fibre expansion opportunities, your commercial lens and strategic mindset will drive high-impact outcomes. You’ll also be hands-on in developing business cases and ensuring we’re investing in the right places.
Success in this role depends on your ability to guide cross-functional teams, influence senior leaders, and make complex ideas clear and actionable. If you’re commercially sharp, future-focused, and ready to help shape a simpler, smarter business, we’d love to hear from you.
Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your Experience
You’ve likely spent over a decade in strategic or commercial roles, ideally in property or infrastructure, and know how to shape long-term plans that deliver real results. You’re assured influencing senior leaders, leading cross-functional teams, and making data-informed choices that move the dial.
• 10+ years in strategic roles with property or infrastructure focus
• Proven experience defining and executing long-term strategies
• Comfortable influencing execs and driving organisational change
• Skilled at managing complex projects and multiple workstreams
• Experienced developing business cases and using data to guide priorities
• Strong understanding of regulatory environments and their impact
• Experienced in guiding cross-functional teams and transformation
• Ideally experienced in property portfolio optimisation and cost reduction
• Relevant tertiary qualification or industry experience
• Commercial thinker with sharp analytical skills
• Strong communicator with ability to align teams around strategy
