PRIVACY NOTICE FOR APPLICANTS FOR POSITIONS AT CASA SYSTEMS AND CASA COMMUNICATIONS IN EUROPE

Thank you for your interest in applying for a role at Casa Systems BV, Casa Communications Limited, or Casa Communications Technology SLU, all of which are subsidiaries of Casa Systems, Inc., in the U.S. In this notice references to “the Company” or to “we” are references to the particular Casa Company that you have applied to.

Before you submit your application, please read this notice and consent form, which explains why we need the information included in your application and what we will do with it. If you are happy to proceed, please click the submit button below, which provides your consent to our processing your personal data in line with this notice.

What information do we ask you to provide?

The personal information we seek in the application form is used to help us assess your suitability for the roles for which you are applying and to administer, evaluate and manage the recruitment process. Personal data you provide may also be used for any mandatory governmental reporting purposes. The personal data we process in this context includes:

• Your name, address and contact information - which we need to contact you in relation to your application.

• Details of any previous academic and professional qualifications - which help us assess whether you have qualifications relevant to the role for which you are applying.

• Details of your previous work experience - which give us an idea of your relevant experience.

• Details of your language skills.

• Whether you have the right to work lawfully in the country where the position is situated - as this is a legal requirement any employer must satisfy, and which may also need to process in connection with any visa or work permit applications made on your behalf.

What happens to your application form and supporting data once you submit it?

If you have submitted your application form, CV and other personal information via our website, or direct to our US offices, the information will be accessed by our HR in our US offices and inputted directly into our applicant database located in the US. The information will then be shared with hiring managers.

If your application form, CV and other personal information has been submitted to us by a recruiter or other third party assisting Casa to source employees, or by you other than through our website, the information may be submitted directly to one or more managers in the country where the position is located. However, in the ordinary course they would then provide the information to our HR in our US offices where it would be inputted into our applicant database located in the US, just as if the application had been submitted via our website and processed in the same way thereafter.

Your personal data may also be downloaded and stored in hard copy files kept securely in locked cabinets in the offices of our HR and recruiting managers in Massachusetts and payroll team and/or in the country where the position is located, as well as in secure servers in those locations to which only a limited number of authorized staff have access.

Applicants considered potentially suitable, will be invited to participate further in the recruitment process, whether by undertaking a series of on-line questions to assess relevant skills and/or by being invited for interview. The results of the interviews will be inputted into the applicant database in the US and reviewed by the hiring team and successful applicants will be sent a job offer.

Background checks

We may undertake a series of background checks on job applicants. This includes securing references from previous employers, checking qualifications and educational history and credit history from official credit bureaus. Criminal background checks, provided such checks are permitted by local law in the country where the position is to be located, may also be undertaken. Such checks are made pursuant to the Company’s legitimate interests in ensuring that candidates for roles requiring a high degree of trust are suitable and where such checks are required by our customers pursuant to the terms of the contracts that we have with them. Criminal background checks are also undertaken by professional and reputable vetting agencies. The check is made with the Disclosure and Barring Service in the UK, or the relevant statutory authority in other European countries. No checks will however be pursued without the applicant’s explicit consent which will be sought at the time.

Where we share your data with vetting companies, agencies and other service providers that assist us with the recruitment process, we will establish or confirm that such third parties will use your personal data only in accordance with our instructions and applicable data protection legislation. We will not sell or share your personal data for marketing purposes or any other purposes beyond those for which the data was submitted to us.

Data retention

The personal data of applicants who accept a job offer, including the results of any criminal background checks, will be kept on the same secure, hard copy files, databases and servers referred to above. Some of the data may also be transferred to secure servers located in our US headquarters and/or in the office where the role is located. The personal data will then be retained whilst it is relevant to do so, in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and in the case of many HR records for a period after an employee leaves the group, which accords with the limitation period for most contract and tort claims in the relevant country. The data of unsuccessful candidates will generally be retained for no more than twelve months, unless the applicant has challenged or there is reason to suspect that the applicant will challenge the recruitment process, or it is agreed with them that their personal data should be retained by us for an agreed period, in case other potentially suitable job opportunities arise. In the latter circumstances the candidate will be asked to provide us with their written consent to the retention of their personal data for that extended period.

Transfer of data outside Europe

As stated above, the Company is a subsidiary of Casa Systems, Inc., our parent company, which is headquartered in Massachusetts in the US. That is also the location of the group’s most senior legal, HR and finance managers, who are charged with oversight of the group’s world-wide operations and our recruitment processes. For that reason and in furtherance of our legitimate interests in operating an efficient recruitment process, the personal data of job applicants and of our other employees, is regularly transferred from the Company to Casa Systems, Inc., in the US. As none of our European offices outside Ireland have HR support, the personal data of job applicants may also be transferred to Casa Communications Limited in Ireland and stored there in the manner set out above.

EU data protection rules require certain precautions to be taken before personal data can be transferred outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). We have addressed this by having each of our EU employing companies enter into an EU Data Transfer Agreement with Casa Systems, Inc., based on the model clauses approved by the European Commission. The purpose behind this protective step is to ensure that employee and other personal data transferred to Casa Systems, Inc., in the US is processed having regard to European Data Protection rules.
