Position Summary: The Corporate Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, account reconciliation, and documenting and evaluating current procedures. In addition to general assistance in maintaining accurate and timely accounting records across a variety of areas such as fixed assets, prepaid assets, intangibles, internal controls, leases/rent schedules and assistance with other areas as needed.

 

 

Essential Responsibilities

1.

Prepare monthly journal entries within Great Plains (MS Dynamics X).

2.

Prepare monthly reconciliations for all Balance sheet accounts, including documentation to support all balances.

3.

Assist with financial and tax audits.

 

4.

Assist Chief Accounting Officer with monthly, quarterly and annual analytics and reporting.

 

5.

Assist with internal control design and effectiveness documentation, review and monitoring.

 

6.

Performs other duties as assigned.

 

7.

Acts with honesty and integrity in all business transactions, including, but not limited to, employment applications/resumes, patient records, time records, and financial transactions.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Education:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Accounting is required.  Other business related fields may be considered.

Experience:

 

  •  Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a corporate setting which involved divisions, groups, and/or regions
  • Big Four public accounting firm experience is a plus

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Knowledge of accounting theory, principles and practices sufficient to identify and describe accounting systems and sub-system
  • Effective organizational skills including the ability to work independently and consistently achieve reporting deadlines
  • Customer Service Oriented with Excellent Communication Skills (oral and written)
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Problem/Resolution Skills
