Unit Mail Handler

CALIBRE is seeking a Unit Mail Handler to support mailroom operations and ensure timely and secure distribution of mail within a deployed environment in Area Support Group – Jordan (ASG – Jordan).

The Unit Mail Handler is responsible for processing, handling, and distributing mail while maintaining accountability, security, and compliance with postal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications (Required for Submission)

• Must meet all requirements under DoD 4525.6-M and eligibility for DD Form 285
• Minimum of six (6) months mail handling experience within the last three (3) years
• Ability to obtain a DD Form 285 mail card prior to start

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
• Handle accountable, registered, and express mail
• Maintain mailroom accountability and tracking logs
• Verify identification and authorization of personnel receiving mail
• Ensure compliance with DoD postal regulations and SOPs
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of mailroom operations
• Support mail inspections and ensure inspection readiness
• Process directory mail and redirect mail as required

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check (NAC) background investigation
• Strong attention to detail and accountability
• Ability to manage mail tracking and distribution processes
• Customer service and communication skills
• Ability to maintain secure handling procedures

• Experience in mail handling, administrative support, or logistics operations preferred
