A CPR Instructor is responsible for delivering the American Heart Association content and providing skills testing for students, employees of local businesses, and CSI faculty or staff to receive their CPR certification. The ideal candidate should be able to teach in front of a class of 5- 20 students, have excellent time management skills, and provide a positive experience for learners.  

 

To be successful you will need to:

 

  • Have a flexible schedule
  • Be self-motivated and self-efficient
  • Feel comfortable presenting in front of a classroom setting
  • Be able to lift 50lbs
  • Organize paperwork                                   

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • CPR Certified & Instructor Certified: Required to take trainings to be CPR and Instructor Certified if you are not already.
  • Set up/Take down of class: Diligent in properly preparing the classroom, sanitizing equipment, and leaving equipment and classroom in top notch condition.
  • Teach to AHA Standards: After being trained, candidate is expected to be consistent in teaching CPR and BLS according to AHA Standards.
  • Documentation: Efficient in filling out paperwork meticulously to ensure individuals receive their certification cards quickly.
  • Monitor Inventory: keep track of inventory and notify the Health Care Industry Manager when something needs restocked.

 

Qualifications

 

 Education and/or experience that demonstrates the following:

 

  • Great at planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong, professional communication skills
  • Strong focus on student success.
  • Alignment with Core Values to be accountable, show integrity, be service-oriented, and coachable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
