The Office of the Registrar strives to provide an accurate and complete student record to our students and to serve our students in a professional, courteous, and timely manner enabling them to meet their educational goals while upholding CSI policies and procedures. They also provide support for the Office of the Registrar by assisting students, answering phone calls and emails, updating process and procedure manuals, and maintaining a high level of knowledge about the department.
This position serves as a crucial link between students and their educational goals, ensuring accurate academic records and facilitating a seamless graduation process. The Graduation Specialist plays a pivotal role in upholding CSI's commitment to excellence in education and student support.
Principal Responsibilities:
Student Record Management (40%):
- Organize, supervise, and maintain student records at the College of Southern Idaho. This includes ensuring accuracy and integrity in recording student data, maintaining compliance with FERPA regulations, and safeguarding the confidentiality of student records.
- Complete outgoing transcript requests.
Graduation Specialist Duties (40%):
- Evaluate student records to determine eligibility for graduation.
- Collaborate with academic departments to verify completion of degree requirements.
- Process and coordinate the graduation application process.
- Assist students in understanding graduation requirements and resolving related issues.
- Prepare and distribute diplomas and graduation certificates.
- Collaborate with the Analytics and Institutional Research (AIR) team to maintain accurate graduation records and provide necessary reports to stakeholders.
Office Services and Projects (10%):
- Assist in the maintenance of student academic records.
- Respond to queries from faculty, staff, and students on policies and procedures.
- Respond to Office of the Registrar inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
- Contribute to various office projects, including updating process and procedure manuals.
- Complete state mandated EDUID reporting according to the established timeline.
Customer Service and Collaboration (10%):
- Demonstrate a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service to students and colleagues.
- Foster an atmosphere of unity and collaboration within the office and across departments.
- Collaborate with Enrollment Services as well as other departments to facilitate seamless graduation processes.

Preferred:
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.
