Under the direction of the Bridge to Success Senior Coordinator, the Title V Bridge Coordinator will collaborate with CSI departments and area high schools to promote, recruit, and retain students in the Bridge to Success Program. This role leads outreach, advising, and retention efforts to support student success and post-secondary credential completion.

The coordinator will work closely with internal and external partners, including the Jerome School District, to ensure effective program delivery. They will advise and empower students to navigate college resources confidently while fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment for students and families from diverse backgrounds.

Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills (especially Microsoft Office) are essential. The coordinator will be a student-focused, team-oriented professional who actively promotes postsecondary pathways, including transfer, CTE, and workforce training programs.

Regular communication with the Bridge to Success Senior Coordinator and Title V Grant Manager will ensure alignment with program goals and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a pivotal role in the implementation and importance placed on a student’s Sense of Belonging and student life experiences at the College of Southern Idaho.  
  • Serve as an advocate for the student to help them be successful from the admissions process through degree completion.  
  • Proactively provide individualized academic advising and support, helping students navigate their educational paths.
  • Conduct regular student check-ins to monitor class attendance and academic progress.
  • Instruct students on using CSI platforms such as MyCSI, Canvas, and related applications.
  • Maintain and update student records and advising notes in institutional systems, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Manage a caseload of advisees, with special attention to academically at-risk students.
  • Use internal reports and data tools to track, analyze, and respond to student performance and Title V program goals.
  • Actively promote student participation in the Bridge to Success Program.
  • Coordinate and support student testimonials to highlight program experiences and successes.
  • Attend and support CSI events to strengthen student engagement.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor, offering consistent guidance and encouragement to Bridge to Success students.
  • Collaborate with CSI departments including Admissions, Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, Student Affairs, the Registrar, and Academic Advisors.
  • Participating in ongoing training, workshops, and professional development to stay current in student support best practices.
  • Offer creative ideas and process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of the Bridge to Success program.
  • Plan and participate in a week-long summer leadership program at CSI for Jerome High School juniors and seniors focused on leadership, campus engagement, and college readiness.
  • Work with AVID staff to deliver one-on-one and group academic planning support to students.
  • Support students in developing clear college and career pathways, including through Dual Credit opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Jerome School District staff, including counselors and career advisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to advance the goals of the Bridge to Success and Title V programs.

  

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

 

  • Engage and implement the Title V grant requirements.  
  • Proven ability to create strong networking and team development.
  • Ability to communicate and effectively interact with diverse backgrounds.
  • Great attitude and willingness to serve.  
  • Experience involving exceptional student/customer service. 
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good judgement and professionalism in dealing with pressures and meeting deadlines. 
  • Strong computer and technical skillset.  
  • Willingness to receive additional training to improve job skills.  

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Two or more years of experience in higher education.
  • Experience working in K-12 and collegiate settings.
  • Experience with Admissions, Recruiting and Advising processes.
  • Experience with Dual Credit and Advanced Opportunities programs.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.

 

 

EDUCATION:

 

  • Associate’s degree (bachelor’s degree in leadership or Higher Education, or related field preferred) from an accredited college or university. 

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

 

  • This position will be based on CSI’s Main Campus in Twin Falls.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as schedule may include late afternoon, evenings, and occasional weekends during certain periods of the year. 
  • Must have access to a personal, reliable vehicle. Travel to and from high schools from an established base (campus or off-campus center) is required. Mileage will be reimbursed at the institutional rate.
