Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director Client Services’ primary objective is to identify, evaluate and pursue priority business opportunities that will increase revenue to levels required by marketing and business plans. That includes the responsibility to oversee the proposal process and results: establish marketing techniques; execute strategic and tactical marketing plans; create and recommend business development guidelines; communicate verbally and via manuals, brochures and memos: strive to build corporate impact personally and through promotional means; provide website content, pamphlets and other promotional materials, maintain close contact with potential sources of business and business information and develop and deliver proposals as required. Oversee and supervise the department and providing guidance and feedback to other marketing professionals. You will interact with all CERM Department Heads and Executive Leadership to include the Managing Director on a periodic basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Work with the Marketing Manager and other stakeholders to oversee and drive completion of CERM proposals for all pursuits.
  • Development of the annual marketing plan as a basis for business planning a minimum of once a year and budgets for pursuits on a case-by-case basis, as required
  • Development and implementation of methods & recommendations for building and expanding the CERM brand
  • Mange social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition
  • Leading all outside and inside sales activities to include building strategic tools and related reporting  .
  • Identify, develop and maintain strategic customer and industry expert relationships, through these relationships collect intelligence that will inform strategic planning and specific project or customer pursuits.
  • Surveys and guides others in analyzing potential clients in terms of preferred fields and activities, size of assignment and probability of attainment and timing
  • Keep current on government regulatory agency guidelines and recommends policies and planning modifications to include recommendations for resources required for new and established market opportunities
  • Gathers and establishes procedures for regularly collecting information on potential business opportunities, from within the corporation and from external sources
  • Developing and delivering marketing and communications strategies for the organization
  • Maintains records on contacts and promotional efforts made personally and by others and follows up on business opportunities at appropriate intervals
  • Oversees the preparation and periodically reviews of company collaterals (brochures, historical data, personnel resumes, etc.) for accuracy, effectiveness of presentation and update accordingly
  • Assigns responsibility for proposal preparation and implements quality assurance protocol of all proposals before submittal to clients
  • Oversee development of presentations to potential clients
  • Organizes and tracks corporate participation in technical, professional and association meetings.
  • Prepares forecasts of prospective work for use by others in preparing work manpower requirements
  • Monitors company’s client portfolio to ensure client satisfaction is maintained by developing strategic planning and engagement tools to ascertain CERM’s Client Relationship Management performance on marketing engagements, programs, and projects.
  • Serves as the liaison with the Managing Director and all Operations Staff in developing proposals and in gathering business intelligence

Required Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles by demonstrated ability to increase market share in terms of revenue, sales, account management and client development.
  • Must have project management skills to manage, track and communicate status of multiple projects and tasks
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have demonstrated supervisory management skills
  • 5-10 years of experience in technical services industry and managing marketing campaigns.
  • 5-10 years’ experience working with government contract proposals is desired
  • Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer, MSWD, Excel and PowerPoint skills

Required Experience

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or in a related field with clearly demonstrated business acumen
  • Regularly participates in related industry organizations and conferences-preferably in a leadership and/or officer capacity

LICENSURES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND REGISTRATIONS:

  • MBA a plus, not required
  • PMP Certification a plus, not required
  • Marketing Certifications a plus, not required
