Role Overview: As a Commercial Grounds Maintenance Crew Member, you are the backbone of our field operations. You will work as part of a professional team to maintain high-profile commercial properties, ensuring that every site meets our standards of excellence. Key Responsibilities

Field Operations: Execute daily landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, string trimming, blowing, weeding, and debris removal.

Installation Support: Assist with digging, planting, raking, and watering to ensure the health and longevity of plant materials.

Equipment Stewardship: Safely load/unload heavy equipment and materials; ensure all company tools are accounted for and maintained at the end of each shift.

Team Collaboration: Support the Crew Foreman in daily tasks and assist in training new team members on best practices.

Cross-Divisional Support: Flexibility to assist in other divisions (Installation, Floriculture) or seasonal services like snow removal as needed.
Technical Skills & Equipment Operation

Commercial Mowers: Proficiency (or willingness to learn) with Push Mowers, Walk-Behinds, and Zero-Turn (Stand-on and Riding) units.

Power Tools: Safe operation of string trimmers, edgers, combi-units, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, and backpack blowers/sprayers.

Specialty Equipment: Occasional use of tillers, aerators, and seeders.

Hand Tools: Expert use of shovels, picks, rakes, and pruning equipment.

Required Skills
*Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
*Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis
*Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
*Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks
*Must wear work boots, Bland landscaping uniforms and present yourself in a clean and polite manner
*Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment
*Must wear company-provided eye and ear protection as required
*Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others
*Must be willing to obtain NC pesticide applicator''s license
*Valid NC Driver''s license and good driving record preferred
* Must be able to pass a criminal background check
*Must comply with Bland''s policies and procedures
