Position Overview
Bland Landscaping Company is seeking an accomplished Senior Business Developer to lead strategic sales and business development efforts for our Landscape Maintenance division in the Greater Jacksonville, FL market, including St. Augustine, Palm Coast, and surrounding areas.
This senior-level position focuses on high-value client acquisition, regional growth strategy, and mentorship of regional business development team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong network within the homeowner association, industrial, commercial, healthcare, multi-family, CDD and municipal sectors, with proven success in complex contract sales and relationship-driven selling.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
· Drive sales of recurring commercial landscape maintenance contracts by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities.
· Promote Bland Landscaping as a full-service landscape provider to HOAs, commercial offices, healthcare facilities, industrial sites, multi-family communities, retail centers, CDDs and municipalities.
· Actively represent the company at trade associations, networking events, and community functions to build brand awareness and generate new leads. Participation is to include committee membership and pursuit of leadership opportunities that help build quality relationships.
· Cultivate long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with property & facility managers, board members, developers, real estate professionals, and other key decision-makers at local and regional levels.
· Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery from proposal through execution.
· Provide ongoing client support and foster repeat business and referrals.
Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
- Contribute to Bland’s regional growth strategy, identifying new market and service opportunities.
- Participate in annual business planning and assist in establishing sales goals and KPIs for the Florida market.
- Support marketing initiatives and community engagement campaigns that align with Bland’s brand and sustainability goals.
Sales Process & Reporting
· Support the company’s brand expansion through cold calling, strategic prospecting, and targeted outreach in underdeveloped market segments.
· Utilize Sales CRM to manage the sales pipeline and collaborate with the estimating team to perform take-offs and measurements for accurate client maintenance proposals.
· Maintain accurate records and provide regular sales activity updates to the executive team.
· Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
· Partner with company leadership to identify opportunities for new market penetration and increased route density.
· Help build, communicate, and execute socially responsible marketing activities that support Bland’s community engagement goals.
· Support the development and onboarding of Business Developers, sharing best practices and market intelligence.

Required Skills
Qualifications & Skills
· 5-10 Years of experience in B2B contract sales, commercial landscape maintenance or horticulture.
· Proven success in business development, sales, or account management—preferably within commercial real estate, property management, or landscape services.
· Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build authentic relationships, create customized presentations, and close deals.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
· Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing priorities independently.
· Valid FL Driver’s License and an insurable driving record.
· An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
