Job Description: Commercial Landscaping Grounds Maintenance Rover

Position Overview

Bland Landscaping Company is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Commercial Grounds Maintenance Rover.  This position requires a valid drivers license as well as a clean driving record. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a solid work ethic, positive attitude  and the ability to work independently, staying on task until completion.

Job Responsibilities (not limited to)

·        Conduct pre-emergent and post-emergent spray applications out of a 200-gallon tank.

·        Police job sites for trash and debris removal to maintain a clean and professional appearance.

·        Engage in effective communication with management regarding any issues with job sites or work produced, such as damaged plant material, excessive weeds, or significant trash presence.

·        Safe Operation of all assigned company vehicles, tools, and equipment.

Requirements

·        Ability to lift to 50 pounds on a routine basis.

·        Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis.

·        Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.

·        Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental risk.

·        Must be an independent worker, staying on task with little supervision.

·        Must wear work boots, assigned uniforms, and present yourself in a clean and polite manner.

·        Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment.

·        Must wear company-provided eye and ear protection as required.

·        Must have a valid NC Driver's license and maintain a good driving record.

·        Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

·        Must be willing to obtain NC Pesticide applicators license.

·        Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others.

·        Must comply with Bland Landscaping Company policies and procedures.

·        Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
