Staff Accountant

Job Summary: The Staff Accountant is an integral part of the accounting team of Bland Landscaping. This role will focus on supporting the existing accounting team’s internal processes and driving improvements to support our mission of excellence in landscaping services.

Responsibilities:

• Support daily accounting operations and month end close
• Prepare journal entries with adequate support
• Maintain and reconcile various balance sheet accounts
• Document accounting processes
• Record fixed assets and maintain sub-ledger
• Assist with annual audit
• File monthly sales and use tax returns
• Special projects as needed

In office position with an annual salary based on experience starting at $70,000 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• 2-4 years of experience
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in service-related industries a plus
• Dynamics GP experience a plus
