Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health (“Bienvivir”) is a community-based, patient-centered, comprehensive health care delivery system that advocates and promotes quality of life, optimum independence, dignity, and choices in a nurturing environment for frail seniors. Since 1987, Bienvivir has served the frail seniors of El Paso, Texas through the provision of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (“PACE”).

PACE is a unique managed care benefit for frail seniors (referred to as participants) age 55 and older who are certified by the state as needing nursing home level care and who reside in a PACE service area. PACE programs coordinate and provide comprehensive medical and support services so that participants can remain independent and stay in their homes for as long as safely possible.

BENEFITS for Full and Part-time employees who work 30 or more hours per week:

We pay 100% of the MEDICAL monthly premiums for Employee Only coverage.

We pay 100% of the DENTAL monthly premiums for Employee Only coverage.

We provide an affordable VISION monthly premium for Employee + Family coverage.

We pay 100% of BASIC LIFE for a benefit amount of $10,000.

We offer safe harbor matching contributions for the 403(B) RETIREMENT SAVINGS account.

We offer up to fifteen (15) days of PAID TIME OFF based on paid hours per pay period.

We offer eleven (11) company-observed PAID HOLIDAYS.

Bienvivir is currently accepting applications for the following position:

 

DENTAL HYGIENIST

Under the supervision of the Dentist, the Dental Hygienist Performs preventive dental health procedures and educate patients regarding the prevention and control of dental disease.

Performs proper techniques in cleaning and caring for human teeth; educates patients in the proper care of teeth and gums.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assess dental condition and needs of patient by performing preventive dental health procedures and educates patients regarding the prevention and control of dental disease.

·         Performs oral prophylactic procedures, including scaling and polishing of tooth surfaces.

·         Performs preventive dental health procedures such as topical fluoride applications.

·         Perform preliminary screening and charts such conditions for further diagnosis and treatment by Dentist.

·         Review medical history for completion. Documents dental history or chief complaint.

·         Assists dentist, as required, in further treatment of teeth and gums.

·         Exposes, develops and mounts dental x-ray films for diagnosis reading by Dentist.

·         Assist Dentist in adjustments of dentures or partials

·         Takes and record vital signs as needed

·         Ordering and maintaining inventories of hygiene supplies

·         Assist participants to utilize management relaxation techniques

2. Provides verbal and written oral hygiene instructions to patients and/or caregivers. Performs patient education and discharge planning under the supervision of a Dentist

3. Cleans, sterilizes and assembles dental instruments following completed patient session.

4. Complies with established infection control guidelines and with Hazardous Chemical Mandates

5. Assists with filing, answering phones, preparing medical charts, data entry, and registering patients as needed

6. Adheres to Bienvivir Senior Health Services values, standards, and policies and procedures

7. Attends monthly Center Staff Meetings and other mandatory meetings/trainings as scheduled

8. Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

1. Graduated from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED), and Associates degree in dental hygiene from an accredited school

2. Licensed to practice as a Dental Hygienist in Texas by the State Board of Dental Examiners

3. CPR certification

4. Maintenance of 12 hours of annual continuing education

5. 3 years previous experience preferred

6. Bilingual verbal and written communications (English/Spanish) desired
