Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health (“Bienvivir”) is a community-based, patient-centered, comprehensive health care delivery system that advocates and promotes quality of life, optimum independence, dignity, and choices in a nurturing environment for frail seniors. Since 1987, Bienvivir has served the frail seniors of El Paso, Texas through the provision of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (“PACE”).
PACE is a unique managed care benefit for frail seniors (referred to as participants) age 55 and older who are certified by the state as needing nursing home level care and who reside in a PACE service area. PACE programs coordinate and provide comprehensive medical and support services so that participants can remain independent and stay in their homes for as long as safely possible.

Bienvivir is currently accepting applications for the following position:

ADULT DAYCARE MANAGER

Under the supervision of the PACE Center Director, the Adult Daycare Manager is responsible for the management, operations, and supervision of the Adult Daycare Unit (SCU), laundry and escort operations. This includes the coordination and implementation of personal care and recreational activities as defined in the participant’s Plan of Care and as required by State regulations. The Adult Daycare Manager collaborates with other Center supervisors and the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to ensure that personal care and recreational services are provided in a safe, consistent manner that considers the individual participant’s preferences and is designed to support and augment the individual’s functional abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the management and supervision of all Adult Daycare, recreational and  SCU operations to ensure optimal customer service and care, staff productivity, efficiency  and safety. 
2. Ensures appropriate staffing ratios for all Daycare and SCU activities including, but not limited to, personal care, recreation, meals, and escort services. 
3. Coordinates with the PACE Center Director to ensure safe and appropriate integration of service delivery components with activities in the Daycare.
4. Ensures timely distribution of morning snacks, noon meals and afternoon snacks to participants.
5. Monitors participant attendance and alerts other departments of deviations from scheduled attendance. 
6. Communicates participant concerns and changes in condition to the Interdisciplinary Team as needed and provides appropriate follow up.
7. Responsible for department staffing to include the management of PTO schedules and any long-term absences, ensuring there is adequate personnel coverage at all times. Responsible for TimeForce verification and submission as per required schedule.
8. Takes appropriate actions to resolve participant issues in the Daycare, involving appropriate supervisors as necessary, to include incidents and emergencies and required documentation, as well as follow-up with appropriate disciplines, participants and family members.
9. Oversees the monitoring and coordination of arrival and departure of participants to the Daycare.
10. Monitors and coordinates Appointment Escorts and provides guidance regarding reported concerns that arise off site during appointments. 
11. Ensures compliance with Federal, State and local regulations and requirements pertaining to Adult Daycare Standards.
12. In coordination with the QA/PI Coordinator and counterpart Adult Daycare Managers, develops measurable quality improvement goals and objectives with appropriateperformance thresholds. Tracks and reports progress/achievement of departmental QA/PI goals as required.
13. Facilitates monthly department meetings and communicates appropriate information to department Daycare staff. Relays any departmental concerns to Center Director as necessary.
14. Works with PACE Center Director to develop the department’s annual budget. Responsible for ensuring department is functioning within budget parameters and personnel are exercising fiscal responsibility in fulfilling their job responsibilities. 
15. Ensures all subordinate staff meets required orientation and in-service training hours as mandated by licensing standards.
16. Participates in the Human Resource process to include hiring of new staff, performance counseling, competencies, and performance evaluations and provides individual guidance and mentoring staff improvement of performance. 
17. Develop and/or modify department policies and procedures to reflect the intent of the philosophy of PACE/Bienvivir, and to ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations and requirements. 
18. Maintains the confidentiality of all procedures, results, and information related to participants in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
19. Responsible for facilitating Annual Skills Fair activities related to the Adult Daycare Department.
20. The Adult Daycare Manager, as assigned by the PACE Center Director, may assist as a facilitator in the participant Care Planning meetings.
21. Coordinates the initiation of the Adult Daycare department-specific emergency proceduresas dictated by the Organization’s Emergency Management Plan in the event of an emergency.
22. Performs all other duties as assigned by PACE Center Director or Management.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: 
1. High school or GED equivalency diploma. 
2. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
3. CPR certification
4. Food Handler’s Card
5. One year of experience working with the frail elderly population.
6. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience or experience in a lead role
