Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health (“Bienvivir”) is a community-based, patient-centered, comprehensive health care delivery system that advocates and promotes quality of life, optimum independence, dignity, and choices in a nurturing environment for frail seniors. Since 1987, Bienvivir has served the frail seniors of El Paso, Texas through the provision of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (“PACE”).

PACE is a unique managed care benefit for frail seniors (referred to as participants) age 55 and older who are certified by the state as needing nursing home level care and who reside in a PACE service area. PACE programs coordinate and provide comprehensive medical and support services so that participants can remain independent and stay in their homes for as long as safely possible.

BENEFITS for Full and Part-time employees who work 30 or more hours per week:

Bienvivir is currently accepting applications for the following position:

 

HOME HEALTH ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY

The Home Health Administrative Secretary is primary responsible for assisting with the three (3) home health components’ functions. Provides administrative support and performs complex clerical work using computer programs under the supervision of the Home Health Administrator RN.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for scheduling HH interviews, grading of tests taken by applicants, preparing and processing packets to include checking and obtaining references and submitting to HR for employee processing.
2. Responsible for proving initial overview of HH department’s policy/procedures and job responsibilities to newly hired PAS attendants.
3. Responsible for creating and updating all forms used within the home health department.
4. Responsible for typing department reports for the 3 home health components.
5. Types correspondence, i.e., memos, letters, employee evaluations, job descriptions, policies and procedures, licensure updates to TDH and other misc. communication.
6. Records monthly HH department meeting minutes.
7. Enters and records data of all in-services for PAS attendants as required by licensure.
8. Assists with maintaining and updating Home Health Department manual monthly regulatory licensure requirements. PAS skills checklists, complaint logs, Disaster Plan rosters, participant rosters, etc.
9. Prepares home health packets for: orientation training, nurses’ assessments, and Start of Care packets.
10. Assists with distribution of PAS payroll checks, assuring accuracy of distribution.
11. Performs Scheduler’s responsibilities when HH Scheduler is out.
12. Responsible for telephone coverage for the home health department and channeling messages accordingly.
13. Tracks employees on FMLA assuring proper forms are completed and turn in to HR in a timely manner while assuring all requirements are met for employee to return to work after FMLA.
14. Assists the Human Resources Department in updating personnel files and medical files on Home Health employees.
15. Coordinates bilingual CPR classes for PAS attendants and in-service requirements for staff. Keeps records up dated as mandated by HH regulations.
16. Tracks annual TB testing, Hepatitis B sends reminders to attendants. Responsible for timely employee evaluations within the HH departments, submits typed forms to HR.
17. Maintains adequate supply of copies on all forms used in the three home health department components.
18. Orders all office and equipment needed in HH department, distributes safety equipment to PAS attendants and maintains records of distribution.
19. Responsible for back up posting of MSURs.
20. Responsible to attend monthly supervisors meeting.
21. Answer phones and greet visitors. Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
22. Collate and distribute mail. Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports, and other correspondence.
23. Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents.
24. Assists Home Health Administrator RN in other duties and performs related work as assigned.
25. Assist vacation, holidays, and emergency leave coverage of the Home Health Clerk duties.
26. Assist with training on how to use the visit wizard.
27. Schedules out of town travel, hotel, and airfare for the Home Health Nursing supervisor and the Home Health Administrator RN.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school graduate or equivalent
