HRIS Analyst, Workday (Remote/Any Ballard Location)
Ballard Spahr LLP, a national law firm with more than 600 attorneys in 15 offices, is seeking a HRIS Analyst to leverage firm technology towards improving business productivity. The chosen candidate will serve as a subject matter expert on business process configuration, security, reporting, and integration development. The candidate should have a working knowledge with all modules of Workday, including but not limited to Recruiting and Onboarding, HCM, Benefits, Time and Absence, Payroll, and Advance Compensation. This position is located in Philadelphia but will consider remote options if in a state with a Ballard presence.
The HRIS Analyst will possess strong business analysis, development and critical thinking skills with highly efficient problem-solving skills. This position will play a role in implementing and maintaining Workday initiatives; support upgrades and user acceptance testing, and provide other technical and process related support as assigned. This position is part of the HRIS team and is expected to work in a collaborative environment with all functional areas of the Human Resources and Payroll departments.
Applicants should have critical thinking skills, the aptitude to translate business needs into technical solutions, and analyze all of the current electronic resources to make sound recommendations for efficient solutions. Excellent organizational, communication, good judgement and problem solving skills, along with the ability to maintain the confidentiality of data and exercise discretion. Strong business and work ethic required.
A minimum of 3 years of Workday business process and configuration responsibility with demonstrated integration knowledge and strong custom reporting experience preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. Knowledge of other reporting tools, such as SQL Reporting Services and/or PowerBi dashboard reporting and analytics tool a plus. A strong level of proficiency with Excel and a working knowledge of human resources processes and HRIS applications is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
