Position Type
The Cloud and Enterprise Platform Support Engineer provides technical support for cloud services, enterprise applications, reporting platforms, and business automation tools used by Metropolitan College.
Working under the guidance of senior technical staff, this position assists with system administration, troubleshooting, application support, data maintenance, and routine operational tasks. The engineer collaborates with MET departments, University IS&T teams, vendors, and other staff to help maintain reliable technology services and support day-to-day operations. This position may be assigned to on-call support as needed.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in technical support, systems administration, application support, or a related IT role.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, or cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with databases, reporting tools, or business applications.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications-
- Experience supporting Microsoft Azure or Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, or SQL.
- Experience working in a higher education environment.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, documentation practices, and IT support processes.
- Microsoft Fundamentals certifications (AZ-900, PL-900, or similar).
