The Framingham Heart Study Brain Aging Program (FHS-BAP) is seeking an experienced Research Assistant to work as Research Specialist for its NIA-funded project work. Core responsibilities include conducting coordination, data entry, and quality control of neuropsychological testing, digital tasks, standardized interviews, and motor examination of participants, ages 25-100+. on subjects, ages 25-100+ and preparing case reports for dementia diagnostic meetings. Prior experience with cognitive testing, research coordination, psychometrics, and working in Neuropsychology preferred. Testing will take place primarily in clinic, however, research assistants are expected to make home visits and virtual testing as well on a regular basis.
Additional core responsibilities will include:
- Leading specific projects, both short and long-term.
- Given the wide range of projects that include cognitive aging, Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injury (TBI), there are a myriad of tasks that range from data entry to presenting to collaborators from other academic institutions and private industry.
- This position will assist in other office management tasks, including purchasing, onboarding new employees, calendar and communications management, maintaining documentation, organizing the electronic filing system, maintaining/organizing web-based program management tools, and office coordination.
- This position will also complete IRB related tasks, maintaining manuals of procedures, and data management.
- The priorities of responsibilities are expected to be dynamic based on the needs of the team at any given time.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree required; some travel required as needed for testing of participants.
