STAFF PHYSICIAN, Student Health Services

Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Staff Physician provides comprehensive urgent care/primary care to Boston University students within Student Health Services. The clinical hours will be set at 30 hours per week for 9 months of the year (September through May). If the applicant has a Certificate of CAQ in sports medicine, then a role as a sports team physician with a 4 hour clinical session seeing athletes in the Athletic Training Room Clinic would be entertained.

Communication & Relationships:

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams within privacy standards.
• Collaborate across university departments and community specialists to ensure coordinated care.
• Model collegiality, cultural competence, and commitment to high-quality care.

Required Qualifications: 

• MD or DO from an accredited institution with completion of a primary care residency.
• Board certified in a primary care specialty.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts by start date.
• Unrestricted Massachusetts Controlled Substance Certificate and DEA license by start date.

Preferred Qualifications: -

• 3 or more years of experience.
• CAQ in Sports Medicine.
