The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.


Position Type

Full-Time/Regular

Provide career advising and career education programs for College of Engineering with a primary focus on graduate students. Serve as team lead for marketing & communications. We are a six-person team running a full-service career office for students who are smart, hard-working, and in high demand for their STEM skills & education.

 Programs and services include:

  • Individual advising, workshops, career courses, and online resources.
  • Career fairs hosted in fall and spring, both in-person and virtual.
  • Alumni mentorship & networking programs •employer outreach and event hosting.
  • High-quality marketing to promote our events, programs, and opportunities.
  • Survey & data collection on internship and first-destination outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide 1:1 career advising for students from all College of Engineering programs, with special emphasis on advising undergraduate students. •Create, deliver, and continually improve career education programs.
  • Create, distribute, and continually improve career education content, including how-to guides and online video instruction. 
  • Provide outreach to student groups to deliver partnered career programs, especially events related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Serve as team lead in one of the following support functions, based on strengths and interests: 1.Event Planning & Management 2.Marketing & Communications 3.Employer Engagement 4.Alumni Engagement 5.Data & Platform Management 6.Career Education Content Management.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred 3-5 years of related experience Please submit resume and cover letter with your application.
