Position Type
Reporting to the Director of Development, Advancement Services at the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (SOM), the Development Coordinator must be able to integrate with the team, assess needs, and proactively conceive and carryout projects. The incumbent will be an eager, creative, critical thinker who welcomes opportunities to learn about fundraising and alumni relations. Must be extremely detail-oriented and able to handle confidential material discretely and responsibly. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to be flexible, take initiative, and prioritize responsibilities. Additionally, the Development Coordinator will interact with a wide variety of internal and external constituencies at varying leadership levels. The Development Coordinator has primary responsibility for several key areas: -processing donations received at the Chobanian & Avedisian SOM -providing administrative support (travel, expenses, scheduling, etc.) to the Associate Dean for Development and limited support to two other gift officers -assisting the Associate Director of Stewardship & Donor Relations with gift acknowledgements -providing oversight of the office reception duties and day-to-day office management of the Chobanian & Avedisian SOM Development Office -assisting Director of Development, Advancement Services with creation and updating of development-related communications projects (website, print, email) -coordinating and implementing of development-related events.
Required Skills
Associate' s degree, with 1-3 years of experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
